PORCELANOSA Group Projects: New corporate headquarters in Carpi (Italy)

A well-known Italian fashion company has used the most innovative materials and technical solutions of PORCELANOSA Group to give shape to the facade of its new headquarters in the beautiful city of Carpi.

With an area of 8,000 square metres, the geometric overhangs and the play of the three volumes of the building define the silhouette of the new headquarters of the Italian fashion company. In addition to offices, the facilities have an events area for the presentation of collections, a store selling the company’s household products and a larger area for work.

The design of the facilities is inspired by the fragmentation of Pangea, the palaeographic continent that led to the formation of our continents and oceans. That is why, in some areas, the building seems to open up, leading to the creation of an internal garden.

One of the keys to the spectacular facade of the building is the PORCELANOSA Group  solid surface. In total, 3,000 square metres of Krion® Lux 1100 were installed on the exterior of the building, with asymmetric designs. To achieve a perfect finish, the plates of Krion® mineral compact were installed using the Keil facade system  developed by Butech, consisting of the rear machining of the plates to leave the anchoring system hidden.

In addition to its powerful design, energy performance has also been taken into account in this project, and this new corporate headquarters is the first industrial building in the district of Carpi to have obtained the Class A+ energy certification.
