PORCELANOSA Group Projects: Hyde Park, a breath of fresh air in Amsterdam

This ECO Conscious project, located in the metropolitan area of the Netherlands' capital, is being designed with the PORCELANOSA Group collections to create a residential area with a human and sustainable nature.

Just 4 minutes from Schiphol Airport and 23 minutes from the centre of Amsterdam, lies Hyde Park. A new residential area, currently under construction, is scheduled for completion in 2025. The project will be home to 4,000 dwellings with large balconies and roof terraces from which the residents can lean out to breathe in the air of the tree-lined streets and landscaped inner courtyards that will adorn this neighbourhood.

With the aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle and creating social links between the residents, Winy Maas, architect at MVRDV, together with other studios such as MVSA, Team V, Barcode and Studioninedots, have designed this residential complex with enhanced DNA that revolutionises urban planning standards. The idea is to promote design that is inclusive and responsible with the environment.

To give life to Hyde Park, the elite team formed by interior designers Eric Kuster and Demy de Zeeuw have opted for the Premium collections from PORCELANOSA Group. These define the minimalist style of the residences.

Natural luxury

With an interior design based on the mantras of Feng Shui, in which order, sobriety and making the most of natural light are pursued, the Hyde Park lofts and penthouses tend towards porcelain tiles such as the Porcelanosa Arctic White series. This collection, inspired by the textures of Carrara white marble, creates an elegant contrast of light and shadow with the Savage Dark Polished model from Urbatek.

Meanwhile, the Bottega series, in its Acero and Caliza finishes, provides the more urban touch to the homes. The grey tones of these ceramic tiles and the colour gradient on the large pieces (120 cm x 120 cm) brings out the strong cosmopolitan personality that characterises this northern European city. This ensures a calm and relaxing atmosphere that nourishes every room with natural light.

In addition, the design of these homes will include the Gravity Aluminium Trace metallic mosaics and the Delhi Pulido natural slate pieces, both from L'Antic Colonial. A combination that merges nature and art into a single space.
