PORCELANOSA Group materials were used in a luxury apartment complex in the lagoon of Lagos Island in Nigeria, thanks to their quality and prestige. This artificial island called Banana, with over 1.630 square metres, has become a paradise setting connected by road to the island of Ikoyi.
536 plots between 1.000 and 4.000 square metres are dotted around this exclusive residential area, with modern infrastructures, such as electric systems, underground water supply, satellite telecommunication networks and a private jetty.
The promoter, Kinnear Investments Limited, and the British building company, FO.AB, which has experience in similar projects in the area, are the heads of this ambitious project of various beach line apartments, equipped with all amenities.
Given the especial character of this project, a local architect called Bayo Adewale who was head of the apartment planning and work chose materials by PORCELANOSA Group to achieve quality and perfect finishes on the floors and wall of these homes.
The main rooms were covered with through-body porcelain by Urbatek, from the Town collections – extreme white polished model- and Avenue – white nature model-. Some of the flooring tiles were combined with the Crystal Moka mosaic and the Sandstone Beige porcelain covering, both by Venis; giving the project character. The outdoor terraces were covered with Carpatia Negro porcelain by Venis, creating an elegant and attractive appearance on the houses outer face. All of this with the grouting materials by Butech to ensure perfect and durable finishes.
