PORCELANOSA Group has decided to expand in the Asian market and open a new shop in Shanghai. It’s the brand’s second showroom in China, adding to the exclusive point of sale in Tianjin and its own office in Shanghai.
This new 500 square metre surface commercial space for exhibitions and sales now has exclusive materials and products from the eight firms at PORCELANOSA Group. The new shop is located in the recently inaugurated Red Star Macalline commercial centre, at number 1388, Wuzhong Road, which is home to the most renowned international decoration companies.
Many professionals and celebrities assisted the new shop’s opening act in the country’s most populated city. Among them were Héctor Colonques García-Planas, business manager in Asia, the Consul General of Spain in Shanghai, Mr Gonzalo Ortiz Díez-Tortosa, and Paul Kei, Eurobuilding owner and PORCELANOSA Group associate in China.
Once the tape had been cut, the attendees were treated to a cocktail in a typical Spanish setting with a tasting of the country’s cuisine and a music performance of classical pieces with the Spanish guitar. As a tradition, attendees signed one of the walls during the event.
