The Spanish Chamber of Commerce in France (COCEF) has distinguished PORCELANOSA Group as Business of the Year 2014, an award which recognises the work of the company in its development in France, granted to internationally renowned businesses which invest significantly in France.
The Managing Director of PORCELANOSA Group, María José Soriano, accepted the award from the president of COCEF, José Miguel García, at a gala held on the 16th of December at the Spanish Embassy in France, near the Pont de l’Alma in district VII of Paris. The Spanish ambassador in Paris, Ramón de Miguel, presided over the ceremony, which was also attended by numerous French and Spanish businesspeople, representing companies with a significant presence in the country.
The COCEF awards are held annually with the aim of giving recognition to those businesses and personalities notable for their influence, fame and business development. As well as the Business of the Year 2014 award for PORCELANOSA Group, COCEF gave two other awards: to Banagrumes, a company which directly imports fruit from Spain, awarded the SME and/or ETI award; while the General Director of Zara in France, Jean Jacques Salaün, obtained the award for Personality of the Year.
The close link between PORCELANOSA Group and France dates back to the start of the corporation in 1973, due to the importance of this market, key for the volume of the company’s exports, but also for the important investments made in it during the last 25 years. This is a process of consolidation with a permanent agreement, pursuing the goal of achieving a solid brand and product establishment in France.
