PORCELANOSA Group at Made Expo, Italy

Recently, PORCELANOSA Group participated in the seventh edition of MADE Expo, one of the benchmark international trade fairs in the world of architecture and construction, held in Milan from the 18th to the 21st of March in the city’s futuristic Rho-Pero Complex. This is the second occasion on which the eight firms of the group have attended the show to present their new ceramic, wood and natural stone flooring and covering products, bathroom fittings, and advanced construction systems and materials.

Among the ceramic products which most attracted visitors’ attention to the PORCELANOSA Group stand at MADE Expo 2015 were the attractive combination of Newport ceramic flooring by Venis, with covering versions with Old and Avenue reliefs, characterised by their eroded appearance; as well as the interesting texture achieved by Venis with the Estocolmo series of ceramic flooring and coverings, which combine the robust appearance of cement with the warmth of wood. As for new products from Porcelanosa, the Dover Arena and Dover Antique Ston-ker® ceramic stone flooring captivated the attention of the MADE Expo attendees with their hydraulic reminiscences and cement-like appearance; as well as the Chester ceramic parquet flooring with “white wash” effect (marked with whitish stains) and its Chester Line covering version with reliefs.

L’Antic Colonial presented its latest collections of mosaics: Wood Duna, with its undulating pieces of natural wood, and Metal Acero Hexagon, defined by its geometric format with relief of metallic tesserae. Furthermore, one of its star natural wood parquets, Legend, was displayed, characterised by its personal, eroded finish.

In the bathrooms section, Noken wanted to highlight the sustainable bathroom taps and suspended toilets of the Forma collection; as well as the versatile NK Concept taps which incorporate the turn on cold system which reduces energy consumption and CO2 emissions. Meanwhile, Systempool amazed Italian professionals with the geometry and hygiene of its collection of washbasins, made with the Krion® solid surface.  As for bathroom furniture, Gamadecor created a dynamic and functional atmosphere with a composition of the modular Flow collection, formed by the bathroom furniture in a high-gloss Tortola lacquer finish, with the Gelcoat washbasin of the series.

Finally, among the construction systems by Butech, attendees of the show were able to see the amazing aesthetic and technical results of the ventilated facade system covered with Krion®, working as outer insulation which eliminates the thermal bridges of the structure and generates a chimney effect to eliminate condensation on the facade. A fixed facade covered with the XLight Rust large format technical ceramic was also displayed, one of the latest collections of ceramic laminates by Urbatek with a metallic look.

Divided into 4 themed areas (construction materials; enclosures, doors and shutters; internal finishes; and software, technology and services), MADE Expo establishes itself as one of the main Italian platforms for manufacturers, architects, designers and construction professionals, increasing its size from the previous year with a total of 208,000 visitors and 1,450 exhibitors in 2015.
