At the end of January, PORCELANOSA Group were delighted to attend and exhibit at ARCHITECT@WORK, an exhibition aimed at architecture highlighting the best and brightest of manufacturers in the built environment.
The theme for ARCHITECT@WORK UK 2019 was future-proof. In an age when change is measured in seconds, not years, and sustainability is a necessity not an ‘extra’, architects and designers are increasingly tasked with proposing projects that have longevity. How can practitioners ensure they are taking the lead when it comes to future-proofing their projects and who is setting the agenda for tomorrow’s built environment? With PORCELANOSA Group investing heavily in sustainability both in production and as a brand belief it made perfect sense for the company to take part in this year’s event.
PORCELANOSA Group exhibited the latest products from Urbatek, specifically the XTONE range, and raised access flooring (RAF) from Butech. The new XTONE products are large format tiles designed to be beautiful and practical for use in commercial or public spaces. Informing attendees about the new lines were Luis Monfort, UK Manager for XTONE, Manuel Garcia, Butech Architect and Ana Molla from Butech’s Technical Department, who spent the two days meeting a selection of invited guests and attending debates on the state of the industry.
The stand showcased 9mm XTONE Glem White Polish, Bottega Caliza and Liem Dark Silk and Polish wall tiles. Alongside this was the Butech exterior raised access flooring using two bonded tiles of 12mm.
