Porcelanosa promotes ecological awareness through its Eco Conscious programme

Starting on June the 1st, the firm will publish a series of articles on sustainable development, energy saving and the responsible consumption of natural resources, as practised by its eight companies.

Porcelanosa is reinforcing its Eco Conscious programme with a communication plan linked to sustainable development and the responsible consumption of natural resources. Starting next Monday, the firm will publish news and a series of articles on the environment every week, covering subjects such as optimising energy use, waste treatment, the use of renewable resources and saving water.

Promoting energy efficiency and sustainable production

Sustainability is one of the Porcelanosa Group’s 2020-2021 Objectives, a commitment that led to the design and implementation of the Eco Conscious programme earlier this year. This project brings together the environmental measures that the company has implemented to date to promote energy efficiency, the conservation of biodiversity and sustainable production, three cornerstones on which some of its most sustainable collections are based. For example, the composition of Forest by PAR-KER®, Porcelanosa’s ceramic parquet, is 95% recycled material, while the CO2 generated in its production has been cut by 40%.

Another sustainable ceramic wood is Starwood Ecologic, made with recycled material from other ceramic collections.

Krion®, the new generation compact mineral, which resists high temperatures, bending and bacteria, is an outstanding example of a 100% ecological aseptic product. Solid Surface is a light non-porous product whose use is highly recommended in health facilities, airports or shopping centres. Moreover, the use of this material on Butech ventilated façades increases the energy efficiency of buildings and reduces the impact of solar radiation on the exterior of the building by up to 80%.

To reduce environmental impact, Noken has chosen to design lighter and more sustainable collections. Under the WaterForest label, the PORCELANOSA Group’s bathroom company has brought together a series of taps, ECO flush systems, AIR ECO technology and ECO aerators, with which water savings of up to 89% are possible.

Putting the environment first.
