The French architect, Marie-Paule Bouchetard, has designed a cosmetic shop with circular structures which bring the different areas together in the same central point.
In order to enhance the feeling of comfort, the designer combines warm and soft colours with curved lines and natural motifs.
The architect, Marie-Paule Bouchetard, believes that design demands the same care as skin does. It must be oxygenated, in good condition and cleaned with the care which the body itself requires. That is the idea that she has implemented in this cosmetic shop, whose original architecture and shape plan managed to reach the final at the 12th Porcelanosa Awards in the category of Forward-Looking Projects-Professionals.
A large skin which covers everything
As if it were a large skin, the different areas of this shop are interconnected by the same circular base structure. In this way, a direct connection between the client and the brand is created, since both the test samples and the products displayed are lined up and with no distance between them, therefore, encouraging you to check the available fragrances out.
Through semi-circular walls and geometric rooms based on pure circles, clients will go along the different sections without leaving the same main space. “Curved lines are combined with height and overlapping elements, finding their inspiration in natural materials”, the designer herself explains.
Through this plan, visitors can enter and leave the establishment to get know other areas such as the bar and the terrace, where vegetation creates a kind of oasis inside the commercial centre.
Since this shop is geared towards cosmetics and beauty products, Bouchetard wanted to create a relaxing atmosphere through faint colours and warm materials. In order to achieve this, she has opted for the most exclusive collections from PORCELANOSA Group, namely: the Noa Tanzania Wine ceramic wood from Starwood; the Riven Cream flooring from Urbatek, whose anti-slip features enhance the safety of space with the large-format XLight Code White Nature porcelain tile.
The walls create different contrasts with the KRIONTM mineral compact in the following finishes: Pompei, Sage, Carrara Dark, Snowfall and Frost White. We are dealing with a neutral atmosphere which also takes place in the bathroom, where the natural white of the Neve di Carrara marble from L’Antic Colonial contrasts with the Round taps in a black finish from Noken or the Almond Semi basin from KrionTM.
Gamadecor is also present in the kitchen with the E4.00 Blanco Snow Mate and R3.90 Topo Mate models. A structure that comes with the Málaga Aqua ceramic wall tile from Porcelanosa, which shapes the gourmet bar.
