The work of Touza Arquitectos, this new Caja Rural Asturias branch in Madrid is located in the iconic Cuzco IV building (Paseo de la Castellana, 141), and was designed to be a versatile, dynamic and eco-friendly space. A harmonious fusion of architecture and nature is achieved through the use of Porcelanosa Group materials.
The design of the Caja Rural Asturias bank has been structured both functionally and creatively, encompassing a main area. Various semi-open spaces are arranged around it. The reception desk area is defined by the curved and sinuous forms featuring on the floor and ceiling. The layout of the floor tiles conveys a wonderful sense of movement. The new Caja Rural de Asturias bank branch has been designed with elements that pay tribute to the natural beauty and landscapes of Asturias.
Located in the hall, the reception desk boasts and simple and modern design, featuring KRION® solid surface. The backlighting - both here and on the ceilings - creates an innovative and contemporary image.
Throughout the setting, they used Coral Caliza floor tiles (Porcelanosa) to increase the sense of spaciousness. This design has the look of natural stone, lending the space an elegant and sophisticated appearance. The wood-effect Par-ker® in Manhattan Cognac by Porcelanosa completes the look. This design adds a touch of warmth, style and contrast.
Deco Coral Caliza accent tiles by Porcelanosa dress the walls of the meeting room, office and executive bathroom. The textured design lends a sense of distinction and elegance to the spaces. In the bathrooms, a relaxed yet considered interior design prevails. Featuring soft rounded edges, the Unique washbasins by KRION® complement the KRION® K · Life 1100 countertop to perfection.
Materials by Butech were used to install the PORCELANOSA ceramic tiles. For example, Fr-one adhesive and ivory Colorstuk Rapid Marfil grout were used for the Deco Coral Caliza ceramic tiles, following the same tone and enhancing the overall look of the space.
The main entrance is home to a number of high-tech elements. The video wall, for example, combines natural and high-tech elements to create a striking focal point.
Circular lights hang from the ceiling, featuring LED technology and green preserved moss. This introduces a touch of nature to the scheme. At the same time, it absorbs sound, improving acoustic quality in open-plan work spaces. The project also incorporates various smart systems. These technologies all provide energy savings.
The project includes a number of systems designed to reduce water consumption as part of the bank's commitment to sustainability and efficiency, including Square taps in a chrome finish and Acro Compact toilets, both by Noken. Thanks to the facilities and products used, the project has been granted a Verde Tres Hojas environmental certificate from GBCe.
A particular emphasis was placed on comfort and warmth in the Caja Rural Asturias branch. To this end, the floor tiles, walls and ceilings echo the tones and textures of the materials used. This approach has created a welcoming yet professional ambience, perfectly reflecting the bank's commitment to customers. This gives visitors a truly sensory experience.
The opening of the first Caja Rural Asturias branch in Madrid represents a significant shift in the style of its banks. This creatively conveys their ethos, along with their committed approach to the environment.
