The Urbatek Xlight extra slim porcelain tile from the Premium range has once again been acknowledge for its elegance, exclusivity and excellent performance. On this occasion, it has been selected as an outstanding product at the BTP 2017 awards, organised by the SAGERET French Group.
The selection of BTP products for each year is an event created by the Group based in Paris to recognize the most outstanding materials in the world, providing improvements in design and technical characteristics for the construction and public work sectors. This event is held every year in January, and it is a great event due to its significant impact since it is followed by up to 250,000 building companies and 30,000 prescribers. This year, after the voting by 82,000 professionals, XLight’s versatility has been recognised with an award, which ranks as one of the 40 awarded designs.
Specifically, the XLight Premium marble-inspired porcelain tile has been the only ceramic range included in the “BTP Product chosen by professionals 2017”, Interior Design category. Its rating of 4/5 proves once again that this has a high quality and technical performance, as well as being one with the most remarkable aesthetic possibilities, all of this at the service of professionals. The evaluation criteria which have had to be met in relation to these awards are multiple: the innovative nature of the product, design, ergonomics, ease of installation, relevance and utility and buying potential. For each of these criteria, the materials are subject to an assessment between 1 and 5, so that the average score of 4/5 obtained by the XLight is of great importance.
The BTP 2017 product certificate was awarded to Urbatek, a firm from the PORCELANOSA Group, at an event held at the prestigious Intercontinental Grand Hotel in Paris in early February. This award reconfirms the potential of XLight as a cutting-edge product for architecture, after having also picked up an award at the INNOV16 Awards from EquipHotel Paris last November.
