An oasis of design in the heart of Ibiza, Ibiza Corso Hotel & Spa has become one of the most exclusive hotels in the Balearic Islands thanks to its unique decor and the personalised services it offers to guests.
Built in the early 70s, the architecture reflects the kind of harmonious peace that visitors find on the island’s most unspoilt coves. In fact, the sea is the very backbone of the hotel and part of its identity, and the views of Dalt Vila take on even more authenticity with the PORCELANOSA Group Premium collections. “My approach is based on understanding the customer’s stay as a pause that allows them to switch up their routine, so they need to feel at home, without it looking anything like home. For the former, I put my faith in my team; and the latter, the interior designers who’ve worked on every inch of the hotel. There isn’t just one aesthetic”, says Nieves Bustamante, the hotel’s general manager.
Ibiza Corso Hotel & Spa champions the kind of luxury that’s based on the customer experience and taking care of the details, as can be seen on its façade (clad in XLight), the common areas, harmonious spa and the 173 rooms that open out to the Mediterranean.
The hotel’s reception area is brimming with the serene and multicultural spirit that’s shaped Ibiza’s identity, where the mix of languages, gastronomy and art has created a melting pot of cultures on the island. This is reflected in its entrance, designed using the Porcelanosa Heritage collection combined with the firm’s PAR-KER® ceramic parquet. To create this unified look, they used Colorstuk Rapid Gris grout by Butech which makes the space safer and stronger thanks to its high technical performance and fineness.
The Corso Restaurant, meanwhile, has a bolder, more eclectic look, and leads on from the entrance. With a futuristic retro aesthetic featuring gold, copper and claret tones combined with Versailles style mirrors, bulb lighting and blue and yellow upholstered chairs, the burlesque dining space has a somewhat bohemian feel thanks to the PAR-KER® ceramic parquet (flooring throughout) and Prisma Bronze volumetric prism tiles by Porcelanosa, extending to the kitchen.
The heated hydrotherapy swimming pool has been designed as an extension to the 600m2 spa. With huge picture windows overlooking Botafoch Marin ushering in the island light, the area has a sauna, hammam, oxygen cabin and solarium area where you can drink in the Ibizan marine landscape.
This is a warm and quiet space where each and every element of the design supports the healthy lifestyle championed by the hotel. Highlights here include the Porcelanosa Nebraska ceramic wood (non-slip version) sealed using Epotech Nature Doussie joins by Butech, used as flooring throughout the area and making the swimming pool safer; combined with Noa Tanzania Almond wood inspired cladding and the blue mosaic tiles adorning the swimming pool.
Warm and neutral rooms for unwinding
All rooms at the Hotel Ibiza Corso feature neutral décor based on white tones, light textiles and light wood furniture.
This aesthetic extends to the en-suite bathrooms, with undulating Ona White Matt wall tiles by Porcelanosa and Manhattan Colonial ceramic parquet (PAR-KER®) flooring, also by the firm. “The aesthetic is the most important consideration, but never losing sight of two other key points: resistance and maintenance. The luxury we’re looking for focuses on the customer’s sensations when they stay with us”, Bustamante points out.
