The Complot Arquitectos studio has designed this single-family residence on the outskirts of the Spanish capital. They offer a design in which the upper floor overhangs the transition areas of the lower floor, thereby creating filters of light and shadow that blend aesthetics and functionality.
The property, split over two floors, has an exterior structure made up of a set of white, interconnected volumes. Part of the façade is clad in ceramic wood, creating a smooth interior-exterior transition.
The interior is also made up of open spaces that let in natural light, giving warmth to the rooms. The first floor, designated as the day area, features a multifunctional room, living room, kitchen and large dining room (paved with L'Antic Colonial laminate flooring), leading to the swimming pool area, providing a sense of well-being and tranquillity (Avenue White floor tiles from Porcelanosa).
The second floor, on the other hand, offers a more intimate atmosphere. It includes the bedrooms and bathrooms, decorated with a minimalist design that contrasts with the marble ceramic materials of the bathrooms (Artic from Porcelanosa for floors and walls in combination with Pro-Part Gold from Butech in the shower). The whole property is designed so that family life flows naturally.
A house that extends over the plot, oriented with views of the capital and optimising sunlight and wind to enhance the bioclimatic functionality.
