The best views of the Costa Brava

The connection between nature and architecture, championed by the Illan i Cullell studio in this property, contributes to a sense of infinity, thanks to the house's open spaces and glazed areas. The best example of this organic design is to be found on the roof. It comprises symmetrical blocks, for which Butech's concealed clip system was used, together with the company's elevated technical floor, forming a delightful private viewpoint.

To achieve continuity between interior and exterior, the architects have incorporated Newport porcelain tiles in a Natural finish (Porcelanosa) on the terrace and in the main rooms. With a cement-like texture and a sandy colour that harmonises with the surrounding vegetation, this flooring creates a balanced contrast with the natural wood walls and the glazed handrail that surrounds this main area and extends to the outdoor swimming pool. The pool is the most exclusive part of the property, as it seems to flow out to the sea and from it there is an exceptionally beautiful view of the Costa Brava.

Wood and cement in contact with nature

The search for natural light also defines the living area (living-dining room, lounge, kitchen, master suite and two guest bathrooms) and the upper floor (main bedrooms), which is reached by a cantilevered staircase in natural wood, in line with the Mediterranean look of the property. This part of the house features spacious bathrooms with floor tiles from the Newport Natural collection by Porcelanosa and sinuous Old Natural tiles by Porcelanosa on the walls. With a design formed by thin, irregular lines that simulate the movement of sand in the desert, the texture of this series enhances the warmth of the bathrooms and is combined with a Krion Shell® Line shower tray and decorative panels in a taupé finish.
