Casa Natalia: a warm, bright home in Bétera

With two large concrete blocks facing the exterior, this family home – work of architecture studio Perretta – uses premium collections by PORCELANOSA to make the most of the natural light.

Comprising two perfectly-aligned geometric volumes, the structure of Casa Natalia in Bétera (Valencia) centres around two large concrete walls. It successfully blends industrial architecture and bioclimatic architecture through the intersection of vertical and horizontal planes and premium collections by PORCELANOSA. This was the concept studio Perretta Arquitectura worked with in collaboration with the interior design team at Hillal Toumiat, to ensure all rooms shared the same, ultra-organic, practical design. And they achieved it, with open-plan rooms featuring large horizontal windows facing out to the exterior.

The living area (with living/dining zone, kitchen and wine bar) is connected to the garden and infinity pool with Samoa Antracita (STON-KER®, PORCELANOSA), echoing the texture and colour of slate, used to tile the floor and swimming pool entrance. The resulting aesthetic is eclectic, with natural textures interspersed with ceramic tiles and Nordic furnishings.

A kitchen with its own wine bar

Infinite sheets of Liem Dark Polished (XTONE®) tie this area in with the rest of the property, installed using Super-Flex S2 adhesive by Butech. The large Emotions E6.70 island kitchen by Gamadecor stands out for its natural stone worktop and Forest system, a structure composed of four folding doors. This area was conceived as a continuation of the living room, where a grey sofa with ethnic red cushions balances the auxiliary tables and open hardwood book shelves. These wooden shelves feature black panels at either end, increasing the depth of each shelf.

The dining space is in the same room, but is clearly zoned into a separate area. Several geometric chairs upholstered in mustard yellow surround the glass table. Moving through the property and up the cantilevered staircase takes you to the wine bar, where a long Liem Dark worktop (XTONEⓇ) with the look of black Marquina marble provides a sense of balance with the Samoa floor tiles by PORCELANOSA and Bridge taps by Noken. The gym is located in this same area, with Linkfloor Roll Contract Titanium vinyl flooring by L’ac.

Bright rooms with marble and wood bathrooms

The main bedrooms are found on the top floor, all with en-suite bathrooms and benefiting from large picture windows that offer incredible views of the countryside. Uno de ellos se ha ideado totalmente en blanco con el compacto mineral XTONE Glem White Polished, cuya superficie reproduce las vetas y el brillo del mármol de Carrara. The purity of the white creates a harmonious contrast with the Round taps in matt black finish (Finish Studio by Noken), oak Last wall-mounted units by Gamadecor, L’ac marble washbasin, and Krion Shell® Slope shower tray – the perfect finishing touch to a design centred around enjoying life’s little pleasures.
