Monserrat Alcaraz Cantó, Paula Vicente Ramis and Enrique Gamboa, are the students who are also finalists at the 11th Porcelanosa architecture and interior design awards, thanks to their design for the PORCELANOSA Group Showroom.
The Project, which has a futuristic touch, is made up of an encapsulated core which simulates a space rocket and a desert-like environment, in which the pieces used have been provided by the eights firms from the PORCELANOSA Group.
A combination of lights with the Krion™ Solid Surface
The showroom is made up of a central part where the Krion™ mineral compact, thanks to the natural light, makes attractive organic shapes, through a combination of lights and shadows. An optical illusion which turns into a distinctive element for this translucent exhibition, which is marked by the aesthetic innovation.
The natural stone tradition
As a sign to the most traditional materials and as a counterpoint to the futuristic aesthetic of the rest of the elements, sandstone has been used on the structure as a support for the taps and bathroom furniture from Noken Porcelanosa Bathrooms.
As a result, the project brings the aesthetical past and future together, creating a present where visual beauty takes over.
