Among the submissions of the latest Architecture and Interior Design Awards organised by PORCELANOSA Group is that of architect Estefanía Álvarez of the Estudio Estefanía Álvarez Interiorismo interior design studio, notable for its original ring-shaped structure.
To take advantage of the urban space created from a roundabout, and respecting its central source, the architect from Alicante has designed a circular showroom. A corridor around the exterior of the construction marks the route of visits to the display area: to the right of the entrance display areas is the kitchen display area, followed by the ceramic flooring and covering area and a work area for architects equipped with a Butech technical table. The route ends with a wooden unit adorned with sheets of backlit white Krion®, and a lattice also made of PORCELANOSA Group’s solid surface. In this independent space, an office for administration and the showroom’s bathrooms have been set up, strategically located next to the customer cafeteria and a work area for four employees. Finally, the bathroom display area completes the circumference of Estefanía Álvarez’ showroom.
To achieve a uniform appearance in the whole project, the designer has used the technical porcelain floor covering from Urbatek’s On collection, while the baths have been covered with the Japan Natural ceramic material by Porcelanosa. For the flooring of the cafeteria and the employee work area, sheets of Krion® have been chosen.
