Defending the type of traditional Ibizan style that combines stacked structures with flat roofs and whitewashed walls, natural stone floors and carob wood beams, Casa Carsten echoes the rocks and Mediterranean pines of unspoiled Ibiza, through collections by PORCELANOSA Group.
The purest light of Ibiza
The property's glazed, open-plan rooms open out to the island, and it stands out for its natural light and neutral tones. The tones achieve a sense of colour balance, making each element of the décor integrate perfectly with the lush surrounding landscape.
This dialogue with nature is enriched by Newport flooring in Natural by Porcelanosa. Tiles from this collection have been used as flooring throughout the property, creating a continuous, uninterrupted aesthetic. Inspired by refined cement, the range connects the outdoor space with the central living room, creating a harmonious contrast with the stone wall surrounding the swimming pool. Butech's adhesives, join materials and levelling systems were used to ensure optimum installation.
Local craftsmanship made cutting-edge
The colour palette of beige and sand tones continues indoors, where architectural structures typical of Ibiza feature alongside Legend 1L Light natural wood flooring by L'ac (living room), cutting-edge forms and locally-sourced art and objects, used to decorate the rooms.
Pouffes made in woven natural fibres, oval ceramic plates, stone benches, wicker lighting, leather upholstered armchairs and terracotta vases demonstrate the blend of cultures and identities that make up Ibiza's social history.
Designed to be an extension of the living room, the kitchen stands out for its breadth and stately yet current feel, featuring the Emotions 6.70 model by Gamadecor in the centre. Framed by four black steel and wicker bar stools, the natural oak structure takes on a more modern, sustainable feel with Osmosis kitchen taps by Noken, which benefit from a water purification system, and Krion® Lux Marfil Nature worktop. The mineral compact improves health and safety in the kitchen, thanks to its zero porosity (preventing bacteria from proliferating on the surface), imperceptible joins and resistance to wear and tear.
