Designed and constructed by estudio3 Arquitectos in Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid), this sense of visual purity gives prominence to the volumes and spaces of the building, in turn lending a strong identity and character to the whole.
Bularas Home, the work of architect Santiago Martínez, has been designed with functionality and flexibility in mind, and also represents a firm commitment to maximum energy efficiency. The strikingly contemporary, open and diaphanous design rests on a 2,000 m2 south-facing plot. The predominance of natural stone, wood and glass materials come together to create a welcoming and comfortable home.
The property is formed of cubic shapes, creating semi-covered outdoor spaces that encourage you to take in the surroundings. The floor tiles delimiting the outdoor space, along with some of the wall tiles, are from the Bottega collection by Porcelanosa, in limestone-look Caliza. Colorstuk Rapid Tabaco by Butech was used to install the tiles.
The 870 m2 surface area spans two levels. The ground floor functions as a day zone and is home to the more public rooms, made for socialising: the living room, dining room and kitchen. Plus, a guest bedroom and bathroom. The flow between the rooms is given a sense of fluidity by the large open areas, natural light bathing the interior, and the Nobu floor tiles in Roble (oak effect) by Porcelanosa.
A cantilevered staircase opposite the main entrance leads to the first floor, designed to be the more private part of the home, with Nobu Roble (oak effect) floor tiles by Porcelanosa. This floor boasts four bedrooms and four bathrooms, each with their own aesthetic, and each featuring products by PORCELANOSA Group brands.
