The project
The Box & Workx office is located in an urban atmosphere between two adjoining buildings. This constituency offers such good dimensions that it makes the originator bank on a vertical work space divided into three floors.
The building is projected into a central core, which accommodates all the communications and facilities that the structure entails. The Box & Workx arrangement is carried out considering the privacy that each room needs. From the most public to the most private areas, in ascending order.
Whereas it is on the first floor where the meeting rooms, the entrance hall and the cloakroom can be found; the upper floors accommodate the work common areas, documentation rooms, rest areas and the kitchen-diner.
The materials
One of the elements which stands out the most in the work studio construction is the Solid Surface Krion® mineral compact. A material whose mineral composition allows for structures to be created, which delimit space and then provide their dwellers with intimacy without breaking the sense of an open integrated space, thanks to its composition which is able to shift the light from one room to another.
The Box & Workx work space includes the Rox Dark anti-slip flooring by Urbatek. A through-body porcelain tile with a thickness of 20mm and a 60.5cmx60.5cm format, which results in being ideal for contract projects thanks to its easy installation and high resistance to stains and high traffic.
Finally, in the rooms where a warmer atmosphere is desired, the Legend 1L Neutral natural wood flooring by L’Antic Colonial has been opted for. A design of great size (26cmx220cm x 1.5cm) whose surface has a weathered aged texture.
