A home with golf views: open spaces, art and contemporary design

With a warm and contemporary interior design, the renovation of this 300 m² duplex includes open spaces and custom-made furniture.

This home, whose interior design has been orchestrated by Pia Capdevila, is located in the exclusive residential area of La Finca in Madrid. Overlooking the golf course, this house incorporates materials and systems from PORCELANOSA Grupo in interior and exterior rooms.

Blue and white. This Mediterranean combination of colours defines the kitchen of this home, a family meeting point. The white kitchen (Gamadecor) has natural wood details in the furniture, such as the chairs. The extensive Krion® K-Life 1100 (Krion) worktop, installed on the imposing island and in the office area, enhances the brightness and spaciousness of the room. In it, the Urban Stick mixer tap in Chrome finish, by Noken, has been fitted.

In addition to the living/dining room, which opens onto the kitchen via a sliding door, the ground floor has three bedrooms (one of them en suite), a guest toilet, an office and a laundry area.

The coldness and sobriety of the marble has not prevented the creation of warm and welcoming spaces. The soft veining of the Carrara Blanco Natural (Porcelanosa) floor tiles, originally from the house, is the common thread of the house. It makes any element stand out, especially the colourful pieces of art. Thus, the decorative complements break the monochromatic line of the rooms with great success.

In one of the bathrooms, the same marble model has been used for the floor and wall tiles. This choice allows continuity to be maintained in the general interior design of the house. As furniture, the modelo Arquitect, complete with the Tono double taps, both by Noken.

The essentials of reform

An important starting point in the renovation of the house was the search for space and visibility for books and works of art. This involved the design of a bookcase that has been placed in the living-dining room. In addition, the art has been perfectly integrated into the different rooms of the house.

The entrance hall and landing of the house is conceived as the backbone of the different areas. The original space fuses the same contrasts found in other spaces: wood and marble for the steps. In this way, the wood effect model has been used for some of them Par-ker® Tanzania Nut, by Porcelanosa. This staircase gives access to the terrace and its privileged views, of 150 m², the same surface area as the interior rooms.

In this two-storey duplex with 150 square metres each, the upper area is presented as an open-plan terrace. A neutral chromatic palette has been used for its accessories and textiles, giving prominence to the surroundings.

The ventilated façade system with concealed anchoring was used for the front of the building. And for the flooring, the exterior raised access floor was used. Both systems are from Butech.
