Recently presented, the Architecture and Interior Design Porcelanosa Awards propose a stimulating challenge for its participants in the 2015 edition. As far as the “Future Projects” category is concerned. The candidates, in order to obtain the recognition of the jury, will have to show the interior design of a watercraft of the prestigious corporate Rodman Group, which specialises in the manufacturing of unique vessels with magnificent finishing touches.
To be precise, in this 8th announcement, PORCELANOSA Group lays out the interior design of a yacht to the candidates, the Rodman Muse 74, which is one of the most emblematic models of the firm and puts a wide range of materials by the eight firms of the Group together: ceramic floor tiles and ceramic wall tiles by Porcelanosa and Venis; the through-body porcelain by Urbatek; mosaics, natural wood and natural stone by L’Antic Colonial; the solid surface Krion®; bathroom fittings and taps by Noken y Systempool; the kitchens by Gamadecor; and the building systems by Butech.
The project will have to contain not only the design of the hull, the decks and the control room of the yacht, but also the interior rooms, such as the living-room, the kitchen and two cabins with their corresponding bathrooms. In every case, every candidate is free to increase the number of rooms according to the design. In order to carry out the design, once the registration form has been filled in, the candidates will be provided with the documents about the drawings and the technical requirements of the design, together with the materials to be used.
