1331 Maryland, a modern residential complex with a classic spirit

The work of architecture studio Robert A.M. Stern, in collaboration with WDG Architecture, this Washington building, is home to 373 luxury apartments. The style offers a new take on early 20th century industrial structures, and features minimalist collections from PORCELANOSA Group.

Located at number 1331 Maryland Avenue in Washington (USA) and close to Ronald Reagan National Airport, this iconic building brings the forms of 1930s buildings to the present, through symmetrical concrete structures and large windows. A project from architecture studio Robert A.M Stern and WDG Architecture, featuring Premium collections by PORCELANOSA Group, where practicality is prioritised over the aesthetic.

The building has a curved façade, 14 floors balanced across three levels, and numerous communal areas that add to the sense of community living. With a rooftop infinity pool, gym, lounge with catering, electric parking, laundry, private bookshop and exclusive access to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, the facilities of this residential development from Balfour Beatty combine classic and modern through satin finishes, marble, oak, geometric mosaics and Premium ceramic tiles.

Washington au natural

The 373 apartments take inspiration from natural elements, and stand out for their excellent proportions and privileged views of the city's monuments and Potomac river. Looking out to the U.S. Capitol building, the broad terraces and balconies are united with the properties' interiors through the AC4 Endless 1L Brooklyn laminate flooring by L'ac and natural wood, also from the brand. This blend of materials perfectly highlights the classic elements of the décor, with neutral tones, velvet and leather armchairs, oriental rugs, glass and aluminium lighting and art prints.

The bathrooms feature altogether more futuristic lines, with white as the dominant colour. The horizontal windows open the room to the exterior, offering panoramic views of the city. Here you can find double washbasins and quartz countertops, square backlit mirrors, infinite, stone-clad showers and Hotels bathroom accessories by Noken.

A residential complex that champions societal living through healthy, contemporary design.
