The 11th PORCELANOSA Group Awards: Ricardo Mateu Green

The PORCELANOSA Group will be honoured by the presence of Ricardo Mateu Green who, will be among the jury members at the 11th Architecture and Interior Design Awards. This well-known British figure from the architectural world caught the eye during his time as a student, winning the BCA Award for the best concrete structure. Also, just a year after graduating in 1996, he was elected as a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).

Ricardo Mateu Green has more than 20 years’ experience, being a part of well-renowned firms, such as: Building Design Partnership, Rafel Viñol and Architects or Foster + Partners.

He is also a co-founder member of UHA London (2011), a studio which specialises in large-scale "high-rise" projects where, he has been the director since 2013.

Building architectural icons

The award winning Cepsa Tower (Cuatro Torres Business Area) is one of the most renowned projects by Mateu Green in Spain. It is one of the most representative buildings in the Madrid skyline, and furthermore, it is the tallest skyscraper in the country measuring up to 250m in height. This probably makes it one of the most representative architectural projects in the 21st century in Spain.

However, this is not the only building which aspires to have iconic status, since there are other outstanding projects, such as: the Versace tower in New Delhi (India), the Sadro residential in Puebla (Mexico) or the Serp and Molot Master Plan in Moscow (Russia). Ambitious large-scale projects that are in the development process.

Leading-edge design and functionality

UHA London is characterized by a modern and organic style. Its architecture with luxurious finishes and clean lines manages to bring the functionality thought up for the user and the efficiency of the work itself together quite perfectly.

Its headquarters is in London and it has offices in Mumbai and Mexico City. In relation to its projects, they can be seen in cities such as: Cyprus, Copenhagen, Madrid, Moscow or Tokyo.
