France extends the KRION® ventilated facades certificate
Tuesday June 26th, 2018 · PORCELANOSA Grupo
The new Avis Technique 2.2 / 14-1624_V1 confirms the quality and resistance of this system and there are now 17 KRION models that are used on facades.
The PORCELANOSA KRION® system has been developed by Butech and has undergone the most stringent testing by CSTB.
After successfully passing the tests carried out by Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment (CSTB), the French body in charge of examining the quality and resistance of materials, as well as the systems in the French and European legislation, the PORCELANOSA KRION® system can be used in France in complete safety.
In addition to the renewal of the current certification (Avis Technique 2.2 / 14-1624_V1), the technical department from Butech has extended the ventilated façade system (from 8 to 17 new KRION® models). It is a mineral compact suitable for the facade systems developed by Butech. A certification that Systempool, Porcelanosa and Venis all have as well.
To these new certified models, large-format panels with dimensions of 3680mmx 930mmx12mm can be added for facades, the extension of seismic areas with a size of façade panels, 3200×3680 mm, or the implementation of up to 10m facades for buildings with wooden structures. New solutions for designers and architects.
Future wall tiles
This innovative material is made of two thirds natural minerals and a low percentage of resins with great durability. Among its features, there is the absence of pores, its antibacterial properties, its low maintenance and easy repair, along with its hardness and resistance.
The LUX version is malleable, and it showcases finishes without joints. Its great firmness outside allows for more complete designs to be created, like the curved pieces adapted to the most voluminous projects after going through a thermoforming process.
It is a system that has excellent KRION® properties, as well as a K-FIX insert fixing system, which Butech has developed for facades. Once placed, these anchors are covered with KRION® discs that are polished, and furthermore, they are completely hidden from view.
Its versatility has allowed KRION® to be incorporated into large architectural projects such as: the Docteur Pierre building facade, the enveloping of the interior patio in the Cour Amsterdam project or the outdoor patio of the Roullier Group‘s Research and Development Global Centre. The quality of KRION® and the professionalism by Butech’s technical department are again at the service of the best projects. Mineral based architectural excellence. The exact formulation.
