Developed by Arapiles Arquitectos Asociados studio, who have opted for Porcelanosa’s building systems in order to achieve their goal of sustainability. The building is able to make an energy saving of 70% if compared to standard buildings. Because of the efficient use of the most advanced and sustainable materials, the building has been awarded the prestigious LEED Gold certification, issued by the US Green Building Council.
The office building, with an area of 19.000 square metres is laid out over eight floors, is intended to accommodate 990 workers. Despite the demands, it is able to reduce energy demands by making use of Porcelanosa’s raised access flooring, suspended ceilings and porcelain tile, thus, fulfilling the high standards of sustainability, by providing the building with a huge ventilating capacity and thermal and acoustic insulation when creating air chambers between the different layers of the construction.
A project defined as “excellent” as far as energy efficiency and sustainable architectural design are concerned, which has resulted in it being awarded a deserved special mention in these latest Porcelanosa Awards.
